Lockdown Skincare

Oh wow. Sometimes this job throws up some real gems and at the least predictable time.


During lockdown we had a brief for Vichy in Paris for Mia Maugé. How to get her to Paris during lockdown? No models had travelled anywhere for months.

Heads together with top production company and advertising agency on Paris London and New York. Can we arrange visas and flights post Brexit and during lockdown?

The brand were really keen for Mia but no vaccines had been developed. Entry to Europe was banned and covid cases were soaring.


Paris production-side contacted the French embassy. Grey contacted the British embassy in London and Paris.


After days of fact finding l’Oreal had sent all official documents and the job was deemed necessary. There was not a model in Paris to match our Mia.



Grey worked through the night, day and following night to secure all necessary documents and sent Mia to Paris in an almost empty plane to Paris to isolate for one week in a hotel. Not an easy task under the circumstances when the largest companies in the world were questioning correct protocol.


The hotel did not cater for vegan dietary requirements either so food was sent across town to allow for Mia’s subsistence.


While all models isolated at the hotel all production put fittings, preproduction meetings and skincare and Haircare regimes to be ready for the global campaign.


On Mia’s return safely to the UK we all breathed a sigh of relief across the channel that our model had been 150% and the client was happy with their results.






What’s more this campaign would positively contribute to beautifully ageing women battling with menopause to ensure their skincare regime changed with their new evolving bodies at a phase in life that goes much unnoticed let alone supported.



The campaign is now released during Menopause Awareness month.


Be beautiful, be strong, embrace age with all it’s milestones.

While Mia worked closely with us on this key campaign she also worked solidly on Notting Hill Carnival to market and support the bands and the culture that thrives in Notting Hill throughout Carnival.
